Well, the result is encouraging. Even though she’s been out of singing for a while, Miley still has a great voice and it complements Snoop’s ever-so relaxed style. The chorus is very catchy and as I listen to it as I type this, I cannot help but want more.
Ever since her failure of an album Can’t Be Tamed in 2010, she has been filed into the group of child stars that never really grew up and have gone astray. In that time, Miley has been frowned upon for doing saliva, got engaged to Liam Hemsworth, and cut hair short and dyed it blond. It seemed like she was going off the rails, but now she appears to be back.
It warms my heart that Miley has gotten her life back on track. Other stars from my childhood are too worried about being murdered by Drake or can’t stop getting in their own way. Vanessa Hudgens and Selena Gomez have found ways to become grownups by stripping themselves of their Disney sheen in Spring Breakers.
One day, I hope that Amanda Bynes and Lindsay Lohan will wake up and become the people we hoped they would be when they were teens. But for now, all we have is Miley.
